I think aspects that I will find useful to inspire my future work is working more with black and white and more neutral/darker themes than I usually do. Figuring out a good balance of using shadows to help affect the mood of my image is something I can try as well.

I really liked watching your video on Mary Ellen Mark, and I too enjoy all of her pieces of artwork. I love the way that you really went in depth about the story of each photo, especially "Horsey." I definitely agree that it was ethically evaluative, as her image has such a strong impact on the views of society. She inspires me so much to take more photos that have more of an in-depth meaning because they make me feel, and I'm sure many others, so inspired by her work.

Hi Kimberly! I really enjoyed your presentation on Mary Ellen Mark. You thoughtful descriptions of her work did well to me understand the message behind, and gravity of her pieces. I enjoy viewing ethically evaluative art due to the strong judgements they hold against a society, and therefore this photographers work makes me feel eager to learn, as well as sympathy for some of the subjects. This photographers work inspires me to take images representative of social issues, as well as to attempt to appropriately use black & white filtering to alter the mood of my subject.

Whether this was the intention or not, titles and/or dates to the photos would have been helpful. While you had good descriptions for the photos you included, I think you forget to add the info we learned for Chapter 4. For instance, Parr's photos seem to lean toward Aesthetically Evaluative and Interpretive photography. I really do like how Parr worked we his subjects and colors to create vibrant and descriptive images. He also…
